Originally released on Evening Wiki, Liviu Sandor, 19, of Romford, Essex, has been charged with murder after father, 30-year-old Ben Daly, was shot and killed in Leamington over the summer. He has now been pictured for the first time by Evening Wiki.

On August 10, this year, Mr Daly, was discovered with a gunshot wound in Clemens Street, Leamington, Warwickshire. Tragically, he died as a result of his injuries. Warwickshire Police have made a number of arrests in connection with the killing since then.

Liviu Sandor was arrested and charged on October 2nd, by Essex police working for Warwickshire Police. He was brought to custody in Warwickshire and charged with murder in the early hours of the morning.

Mr Daly’s family previously paid tribute to him following his tragic death. They said: “Ben was a much-loved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.

“He was our one and only. You brought so much love and laughter to us all. Your pranks kept so many people on their toes. We love you so very much and we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.”

The week after Mr Daly’s death, Inspector Simon Ryan, of Warwickshire Police, said: “I’m sure I speak for the entire community when I say that our thoughts remain with his friends and loved ones. This is not the sort of tragedy that anyone would expect to happen in Leamington, and we know that residents have been left shocked and worried.

“Though all intelligence indicates this was an isolated incident, people will still feel deeply concerned. Over the last week, officers and detectives have been out on the streets and knocking on doors- not only to gather evidence but also to speak with the community and reassure them.”

Sandor has been remanded into custody and will remain in prison until a trial date set for April 8th 2024 at Warwick Crown Court.

The police have not released the circumstances of Sandor’s alleged involvement in the murder. As the case progresses through judicial proceedings it is likely we will know more.
